The Irish rock band U2 has confirmed the South of France as their base for their forthcoming European Tour. The group own holiday properties on the Cote D’Azur. They will have constant access to a private plane which will be based at Nice Airport.

Included in the bands tour itinerary are cities such a Milan, Berlin, London and Barcelona. The tour will begin on June 30th. The group will fly from Nice to each concert. Family members are also expected to be based in Nice.

Band members Bono and the Edge have been regular visitors to the region for almost twenty years. The Edge bought the house next door to Bono after his first marriage broke down. A swimming pool is all that separates the houses.

The Edge put the purchase of the holiday home down to good timing. He actually got married in the region for a second time seven years ago. The other members have U2 Larry and Adam have holiday homes close by.

To complete the circle the bands manager Paul McGuinness bought a home in Nice seven years ago.

So if it’s good enough for U2, What are you waiting for?
