One of the more unusual summer offers was announced this week by lodgings provider P&V. The company has offered to refund customers up to one hundred and fifty euro if there are four or more days of rain per week. The offer is valid at all Pierre et Vacances properties in France.
The offer has been made in partnership with insurance providers EuropAssistance. The plan is to look at satellite pictures courtesy of the weather bureau in France in order to see if claims are valid. Once a decision has been made customers will be informed.
Pierre et Vacances offers accommodation in many popular sunshine destinations in France such as Nice, Brittany and the Dordogne region. Speaking on behalf of P&V Cathy Rankin said that one third of UK customers have signed up for the Sunshine Guarantee insurance policy. She hopes that more people will take advantage of the offer over the summer.
After some horrendous summers weather wise in Ireland and the UK over the last few years its good to see a company thinking outside the box and coming up with a unique idea. The offer is only available in France and must be used before the 12th of October.
